We are delighted to announce that the Techies Awards Swindon & Wiltshire are returning for 2023. The award scheme which is now in its sixth year is opening for entries on Monday 24th April.
The Techies celebrate the amazing tech innovation happening on our doorstep and shine a light on organisations, projects and individuals undertaking outstanding work in their fields.
The award scheme is open to all businesses based in Swindon and Wiltshire doing exciting things with tech.
There are 13 categories to choose from with one new category this year – Wiltshire’s Leading Woman in Tech. We decided to add this award into the mix as the industry continues to struggle to close the gender gap. According to a recent report by government funded growth network Tech Nation, nearly three million people, or 9% of the UK workforce, are employed in the UK tech industry. Just 26% of those in the tech workforce are women. We want to inspire the next and put the spotlight on the women in our community doing great things.
